on the 8 of november glentaylor school went on a trip to the the movies to watch the fim festivals  that was happening in sylvia park when we got to sylvia park  glentaylor school walked to the stairs  and went to the movies to watch the film festival when we got in to the movies we all had to go to movie thearter nomber 2 so we can watch  the students perform in front of our school.

on monday 17 of october the Year 6,7,8 went on a trip to rotorua island to go and  learn about the native birds they have on the island  and when we finished looking at the native birds  we went to the beach to have a swim and then when we finished  our swim we went for a hike on top of  a hill.

Last week Team Tui was doing sience. we had lots of fun  doing  air pressure.

 

last  week team tui was doing our air pressure experiment  with hair dryers and ping pong balls team tui  had so much fun because we got to all have a turn and we got to  learn new thing on  how to do  it it was so cool to learn about the  hair dryer experiment beacause  i got to learn how to handle it   and how to make it  balanced when you turn  the dryer to a  higher level

Method

 

1.Plug in the hair dryer  2. Put the ping pong in the middle of the hair dryer 3. Watch what happen.

 

Discussion

When we put the hair dryer to the  highest setting the ping pong ball was sent higher and it was harder to balance the ball and stop it from falling.

 

 

Conclusion

 

My hypothesis was right im pretty happy about that.

 

On Monday 13th of June 2022, Team Tui went to the hall to do the “Candle in the glass” experiment

 

 Pita’s hypothesis: I think that the candle would of stayed on 

 

What actually happened: The candle went out went we put the cup on the candle

 

The experiment went something like this: i got to light up the candle and stick it on the plate

 

This week  room 11 12  and 13 was  doinig the coconut resaerch and  tapa art we had so much fun because we all got to work as a team we all were enjoying our selfs because we like to do diffrent type of thing at glentaylor school what i mostly liked was getting to work with people and got to make my owen kava boul s we all was happy when we saw our kava bouls we all we drinking from it  and i got to eat  the rest of the coconut meat.

The Black Spider Monkey 

 

Introduction

Did you know that the Black Spider Monkey is one of the biggest primate species in South America? And Black Spider Monkeys are 30-60 centimeteres long.

 

Food

How do Black Spider Monkeys eat? A Black Spider Monkey eats bananas, vine-leaves, nuts, seeds and anachrids like spiders. Black Spider Monkeys hang by their tails and reach out for food with their hands. 

 

Appearance

Black Spider Monkeys have black glossy hair covering their body except their face. Some Black Spider Monkeys have rings of colourful flesh around their eyes.

 

Protection.Black Spider Monkeys make a barking sound to scare the predators away. If that does not work they will shake the branches on the tree to scare the predators away.                                                                                                   

 

Conclusion.Black Spider Monkeys are one of seven species of spider monkeys found in South America and one of the largest primate species in the continent.

Today me  and  my  class was out side  playing kiwi sport    me and my  class  had  so much fun playing with each other we all worked as  a team  in our groups me and my team all ways encoureg each other  when ever we   when we are  running and i  liked  being in that team because  i got  to work as a team  and got to learn more things in in vollyball and when ever i never know what to do they will all ways tell me what to do

last week friday me and  the senior block went to    fun run to repersent our school  in our fun run i had so much fun running with my friend and other people from glenn innes school   me and  some  of glen innes stdent  were running  with each other  pushing each  other to  try our best   and  dont stop   running  when ever i stop i will all ways get pushed to run when i was tired  there  was  two police  all ways waching  me fun so they  can incoureg me when im tied

 

todays task was learning how to coment on the fact that  ostrich´s is bigger then  then  our brain

it was so fun  to do this cyber smart because   it was easy to do.
